Your Child’s Journey

Every child’s journey through Loughborough Nursery is unique, but what remains constant is the care, support and encouragement they receive along the way. As part of the Loughborough Schools Foundation, we offer a nurturing start to early years education, helping each child build confidence, independence and a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.

Our rooms are carefully designed to reflect your child’s stage of development, with experienced staff guiding them every step of the way. From those first days as a baby through to their final year before school, we create a seamless journey of discovery, learning and joy.

Developers 6 Weeks to 15 Months

Our Developers Room helps make the transition from home to nursery a gentle and positive one. Here, our youngest children begin to explore the world through sensory play and movement. Our team focuses on building independence and curiosity with toys and activities always at the child’s level so they can choose what to play with. It’s a calm, caring space where every baby’s routine is respected, and early confidence starts to grow.

Investigators: 15 to 24 Months

In the Investigators Room, children begin to find their voice and express themselves. This is where curiosity really takes off with opportunities for messy play, music, and outdoor exploration.
Our experienced staff help children understand emotions and boundaries, encouraging kindness, empathy and friendship. Language development is supported throughout the day through conversation, storytelling and play.

Innovators: 3 to 3.5 Years

The Innovators Room is where curiosity becomes creativity. Children are encouraged to ask questions, solve problems and develop deeper focus through engaging, hands-on activities. The Innovators team work closely with our Pioneers to prepare children for their final stage at nursery, ensuring a smooth and confident transition.

Pioneers

In Pioneers, children are ready to take on new challenges and develop the skills they need for school. This final step of the journey focuses on independence, social development and a growing sense of responsibility. Children are encouraged to make choices and lead their own learning. By the time they leave Loughborough Nursery, they are confident, capable and excited for the next stage in their education.
